The Raid 2: Choreographed Excess of Violence and Bloody Retribution

Released in 2025 Raid 2 is a Hindi crime thriller directed by Raj Kumar Gupta and follows the 2018 movie Raid. Amay Patnaik, a central figure, becomes the protagonist when the film opens on May 1, 2025, in the midst of his battle with a new villain who is determined to corrupt financial systems.

🎬 Storyline

Seven years after the original, Ajay Devgn stars again as Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax Amay Patnaik in his 75 th raid where Dada Manohar Bhai (Riteish Deshmukh) is a respected politician from the Bhoj. Amay believes that there is a lot of corruption behind the charitable work done by Dada Bhai. The plot progresses as an exciting chase with Amay wanting to find hidden assets and give justice to Dada Bhai.

To the critics and audiences, Raid 2 has been received mixed-to positively. Other reviewers emphasize the film’s enthralling narration and outstanding performances, although most continue to find it not as intense as the first one. Ajay Devgn puts in a stellar performance as Amay Patnaik, making the character highly realistic and emotionally charged. Fast-paced dance scenes add to the enjoyment of the film, but others wonder if they are necessary to the plot.
